A client of ours in the outskirts of Colchester is looking for a temporary Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant to help them with a busy period for a couple of months. Flexibility with working hours full time or part time and pay depending on experience.

Main responsibilities of this bookkeeping/accounts position:

Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns
Produce monthly management account reports including balances, profit and loss, creditors, debtors
Banking allocation across departments
Producing a daily report reconciling postings against the bank statement
Producing regular debtor reports
General Ad-Hoc duties as instructed by Financial Controller
Account/Dispute resolution
General accounts administration
Handling general enquiries over the phone and in writing

The ideal candidate for the bookkeeping/accounts position:

Accountancy qualification (e.g. part qualified AAT or NVQ level 4)
Advanced Microsoft Office skills in Excel
Advanced Sage knowledge
Experience of bookkeeping and being an accounts assistant
