Cell Production Engineer u00A328,000 - u00A338,000 Leicester Job Purpose: Responsible for running and planning of routes for cell products required for finishing cells. Also responsible for initiating and implementing production improvement and cost reduction projects. Duties and Responsibilities: To work on productivity projects and process improvements.
To work with Management, Production operators, Quality and Engineering teams to significantly improve efficiencies in the section, aiming to achieve "right first time, standards of quality and delivery. Continuous improvement activities to realise real cost savings. Provide engineering support to manufacturing.
Implement new products, processes & projects as required. Use of Solid works and Auto CAD software for design purposes. To be aware of current Engineering/Industry advancements and suggest and implement improvements to current processes.
Skills and Experience: Good academic background - Educated to degree level in an engineering discipline. Experience within an aerospace manufacturing company is preferred. Knowledge of CAD CAM, AutoCad, CNC Turning, CNC Programming and Solid works.
Methods and planning experience, tooling design/fixture design. Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Must be computer literate and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, competent in using in using Excel and operation planning systems.
Excellent communication skills. Experience of working on and leading capital and non-capital projects. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with quick solutions to problems.
