The Job:

We are delighted to be assisting our client with their requirement for a Conveyancing Assistant, based in their offices, in central Bristol.  This role is a great role for someone who is keen to progress their career as the team is very supportive of career development.

Responsibilities will be:

To provide an efficient and effective assistance to the Conveyancing Team and to assist the Matter lawyers with all aspects of the transaction procedures.
Taking instructions
Liaison with clients, stakeholders and third parties
Responding to voicemail messages and correspondence in a prompt manner
Ensuring that exchange and completion dates are met
Taking direction from the Matter Lawyers where appropriate within the life of a transaction.
Amending and collating letters with enclosures in line with set deadlines, ensuring sign off as appropriate by the appropriate lawyer.
Collating and completing due diligence to comply with Anti Money
Laundering Regulations
To work with the Matter Lawyers, Team Manager and others within the wider Real Estate Group where required
To ensure appropriate quality service and compliance for all matters in accordance with our firm and team standards
To be a role model for the Foot Anstey Values and encourage the others to do the same.
The Person:

For this role our client is looking for someone ideally who has gained some legal experience or perhaps you have graduated in a legal degree and looking for your first legal role.  Or you could have some conveyancing experience.  Other skills and experience would include:

Excellent all-round communication skills including the capability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other colleagues internally, both within the wider team and across all practice areas.
Attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
Ability to achieve tasks quickly and accurately meeting the needs of the lawyers
Excellent IT skills across the MS suite of programmes along with a willingness to learn new computer packages.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Commitment to working within a quality standard environment.
Commitment to ongoing professional and personal development including self awareness and self reflection and continuous improvement

25 days holiday  Life assurance  3% / 5% pension Weekly lifestyle hour – an hour to take at your convenience (extended lunch or late start or early finish)

The Location:

Bristol (central with no car parking) but hybrid working

The Hours:

Monday – Friday 36.25 hours per week
