Based at Field/ Home and Project Sites as Required

Role Summary

I am currently recruiting for a Forecourt Project Manager within an international sustainable energy business headquartered in the UK. They develop, construct, own and operate premium solutions for critical energy applications. My client is breaking boundaries to achieve its ambitions to deliver sustainable energy and move the needle on climate change. They have delivered the most technically advanced hybrid solar projects ever built in the UK and installed more solar capacity in 2019 than any other business in the UK. They are now on a mission to make electric vehicle charging as convenient as petrol refuelling, with a national network of ultra-fast, dependable Electric Forecourts® that provide drivers with the confidence to go electric.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as Client lead on all Stage 4 Forecourt developments and liaise with landowners, design consultants, GS Development and other stakeholders as required.

*

Define project roles and responsibilities (CDM) and act as Client for all active construction projects.

*

Manage all pre-commencement project works across design, budget and program.

*

Develop site construction phase plan (CPP) with appointed contractors, including welfare plan, site layout, transport, emergency response and site security.

*

Define and document all project specific Employers requirements and deliverables.

*

Attend regular contractor meetings and site progress inspections.

*

Provide regular program and budget updates based on monitoring of the site works progress.

*

Develop detailed commissioning program alongside GS Engineering and Commissioning Managers.

*

Chair end of project construction reviews and identify/record/act on learning’s from each project.

*

Coordinate project completion in alignment with GS Retail, Marketing and OMM.

*

Manage Snagging completion and handover to OMM.

*

Participate in construction documentation reviews.

Skills required:

*

Previous development and construction management experience delivering multi-disciplinary commercial retail projects.

*

Experience with LV/HV electrical/renewable systems preferred but not essential.

*

Excellent project planning, change and time management abilities.

*

Experience with managing various stakeholders and contractors, including design and cost consultants.

*

Strong knowledge of HSEQ for design and construction.

*

Modular construction experience would be highly regarded.

*

Carbon Pollution reduction in Construction experience would be highly regarded.

*

Self-driven, focused, results, quality, and safety oriented with strong negotiation skills.

*

Team player and innovative with sound judgement and solutions driven.

*

Cordial and professional with excellent client facing skills.

*

Effective communication both verbally and in written form.

*

Ability to use MS suite of packages at intermediate level or above.

Other Requirements:

*

The role will involve travelling to sites and working away from home in the UK.

*

Clean driving license.
