An immersive Simulation firm with an innovation centre in Sussex have a majority remote working initial 6 month contract opportunity for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer with experience working at Driver level to join them and work on a next generation visual immersive simulation experience. 

Senior Embedded Software Engineer 

You will be working on a next generation 3D virtual display development completing Embedded C/C++ development on a Linux platform via an ARM Microprocessor, this will involve completing Driver development as well as Shell/Python/Bash scripting. The technology has a hardware component and as such any familiarity with FPGAs is useful, this could include Zynq/Xilinx/Microblaze/ Verilog/VHDL. You do not need to have worked on FPGAs just being familiar with the hardware is useful. You will be working independently on a (subject to QDOS assessment) OUTSIDE IR35 Contract basis. The client are happy with the work being completed majority remotely but if you can go on-site to Sussex once or twice a week that will be useful for the team. 

Senior Embedded Software Engineer Requirements

- Expertise in Embedded C/C++ programming 

- Linux/Yocto Driver 

- ARM Microprocessor familiarity 

- Shell/Python/Bash Scripting 

- FPGA Hardware exposure
