Due to continuing growth and a particularly busy work-winning period, we are keen to speak with talented M&E Quantity Surveyors to join this Bedfordshire based contractor.

Projects include large R&D, Commercial and Education schemes with contract values form £500k to £15m working on some of the region’s most prestigious buildings.

This is an opportunity to join a growing department that underpins the success of the business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Department and develop the project commercial strategy from tender stage through to completion. Our Client is looking for a qualified and competent M&E Quantity Surveyor with the ability to develop an effective tender strategy working on 2-stage and single stage tenders, as well as build excellent relationships with other business functions, customers, consultants and the supply chain.

The M&E Quantity Surveyor will be based at the Bedfordshire Head Office and will visit sites across the operating region of the Northern Home Counties and Cambridgeshire.

You will be responsible for a diverse range and M&E Quantity Surveying services, working as part of the wider M&E Team. Duties will include:

* Advise on services costs involved in building projects, producing budgets and advising at tender stage

* Evaluation of costs and advise on alternative proposals

* Advice on contract arrangements and conditions

* Undertaking all elements of pre and post contract work

* Placing orders and managing sub-contract accounts account

* Preparing regular financial control document

Experience And Skills Required

BSc in Quantity Surveying, similar level degree or vocational qualification (or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence
Experience of working for a main or specialist M&E contractor in a similar role

Work collaboratively and help drive the project to successful completion
