A business with offices based in Scarborough are currently recruiting a Payroll Administrator to join their growing payroll team. On offer is a salary of up to £25,000 depending on experience, as well as 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) generous pension contribution, private health and life assurance, as well as further benefits including annual discretionary bonuses, free breakfast and gym!

Key responsibilities for the Payroll Administrator will include:

Assist in the end-to-end processing of payroll ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time, while maintaining compliance with current legislation
Processing of starters and leavers and other payroll amendments
Calculation of statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP
Administration and submission of data relating to benefits within tight deadlines
Ensure all HMRC submissions are completed within deadlines
Ensure compliance with Pension Auto-Enrolment
Provide cover in the absence of Payroll Manager/Supervisor
Ad hoc responsibilities, as and when requiredWe are especially keen to speak with individuals who have experience in Payroll and payroll admin processes. Ideally, you will be a Payroll Administrator or Payroll Assistant seeking a new challenge or a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Accounts Administrator where payroll has been part of your role and you are wishing to pursue this further.

To be successful in this Payroll Administrator role, the successful individual will:

Previous experience in a payroll-based role or, where payroll has been part of your role.
Working knowledge of various payroll systems, such as Sage or others
Good knowledge of MS ExcelBased in Scarborough, this role is commutable from Whitby, Malton, Filey, Pickering and surrounding areas.
