Job Description

The Department for Work and Pensions have created a Health Transformation Programme to transform the support it provides to all its customers requiring financial support. As an experienced Physio ( Registered with the HCPC) you will have the opportunity to join this team and embark on the biggest change seen within the area of Health and Disability assessment. You will help influence and improve the future delivery of assessment services.
Please note this is not a role with CHDA / Maximus, Atos or with Capita.
Joining the test and trial centre in Marylebone, you will be trained to deliver a variety of health and disability assessments – not just one assessment. This integrated approach will help streamline the assessment process and help improve customer satisfaction. The key purpose of your role is to to conduct an independent assessment on a person's ability to perform to day to day tasks, plus their ability to work and ensure they receive the right level of benefits. You will need to show empathy and communicate in such a way to obtain the right information to write an accurate report.
In addition you will help work with the research and development team, feeding in your ideas on how service delivery improvements can be made.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Current registration with the HCPC as a physio with a full licence to practice,
  • A minimum of 2 years post HCPC registration experience,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary: £26.11-£30.82 per hour
