Planned Maintenance and Projects Technician
As a Planned Maintenance (PM) and Projects Technician you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance strategy for the site through the use of PM systems, and also improving the site performance by participation in CI activity and small project implementation. You will do this by being a member of a team solely focused on PM and CI activity and use CMMS (computer maintenance management systems). You will use relevant data analysis to develop and maintain the production processes, and implement step changes in performance.

  • An effective team player with the ability to participate in multidisciplinary teams in specific improvement projects through to completion
  • Deliver and develop the PM schedule.
  • Analyze relevant data and drive CI activity from this.
  • Use of non-productive time to deliver the PM/CI plan.
  • Application and improvement of AM and PM systems to ensure efficient running of the plant.
  • Ensures machinery runs effectively and efficiently by the application of PM system
  • Plays a key role in the introduction of all new machinery and associated technologies to site
  • Improve line efficiencies by analyzing breakdown investigations and targeting PM activity in these areas.
  • A key player in the cascading of skills to the operations team through Autonomous Maintenance (AM)
  • Complies with site safety systems to the required level
  • Complies with local legislation and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Actively grow the processes to move the site balance from reactive to proactive maintenance.
  • Active participation in site improvement process (MBGA)
  • Drive upskilling through CI/AM tools and techniques.
  • Electrical and/or Mechanical qualifications C&G, NVQ or Degree level essential.
  • Previous experience within a Manufacturing Industry – Various Industries considered: Packaging, Food, FMCG or Maintenance environment preferred.
  • Demonstration of being part of a team to deliver high performance.
  • Sound understanding of problem solving tools and techniques.
  • Experience working with CMMS systems.
  • Excellent problem solving and solution resolution, able to demonstrate a working knowledge of problem solving and root cause analysis using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • An ability to uncover facts to agree root causes of problems, reviewing and developing usable solutions, which boost factory performance.
  • Creative approach to solving problems and being committed to raising and following those creative solutions to relevant stakeholders, departments or colleagues involved.
  • Initiative to solve problems and do what is necessary to complete a better job, working within safe practices and within Diversey guidelines at all times.
  • Thorough practical knowledge and experience in site processes and with suitable electrical and mechanical experience.
  • A sound working knowledge of Maintenance techniques associated with autonomous, preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Awareness of workplace and chemical hazards with the associated regulations is desirable.
  • Sound Knowledge of MS packages including Word and Excel and CMMS systems.

  • The role will based around a 4 day 10 hour working pattern, and weekend work will be required i.e. Sun/Mon/Tue/We and Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat patterns.
