They have recently established their 2nd key site in the Woking area and have plans to develop and supply energy to over 1000 new properties in the area over the next 7 years.nnIn this role you will be taking full responsibility for the operations and maintenance activities, including a team of mechanical and electrical engineers, to ensure the safe, efficient and continuous supply of heat and power to the surrounding area coming from several energy centres and smaller energy assets such as Solar PV sites.nnThe ideal candidate will have experience in operations and/or maintenance management for live industrial-scale sites in industries such as Oil & Gas, Energy-from-Waste, Renewable Energy, Chemical Processing, Shipping/Marine Engineering or Utilities. They will also have a mechanical or electrical engineering background, NEBOSH or similar qualifications and AP experience for mechanical or electrical works.nnThis is a great chance for someone who is looking to continue their career in operations/maintenance management but without having to face the typical challenges to work-life balance that come with such a role.

This is also going to be the perfect position for someone that has climbed the career ladder and hit a cap in their area of expertise and now wants to grow further within a booming industry where they can learn about new and upcoming technologies.nnThe role:n * Taking responsibility for management, training, development, appraisal and retention of internal engineering staff n* Liaising with and managing external contractors including tender reviews, RAMS approval etc. n* Ensuring the continuous and reliable supply of heat, power and chilled water to the surrounding area n* Managing and controlling O&M projects & tasks e.g plant replacements, new connections, network extensions etc. n* Periodic reviews of budgets, emergency response plans, contingency service/resilience plans n* Ensuring compliance across site with QHSE regulations, standards, policies and procedures nnThe person:n * Previous experience managing operations and/or maintenance activities as well as associated personnel n* Experience working on a live industrial-scale site e.g Oil & Gas, Marine Engineering, Process/Production plants etc n* Mechanical or electrical engineering background n* NEBOSH or similar qualifications n* Experience with PLC/SCADA systems n* AP qualification for mechanical or electrical works n* Steam, CHP or Renewable Energy plant experience (advantageous) n* Legionella Awareness (advantageous) n* Full UK driving licensennRise Technical Recruitment Ltd regrets to inform that our client can only accept applications from engineering candidates who have a valid legal permit or right to work in the United Kingdom.nnPotential candidates who do not have this right or permit, or are pending an application to obtain this right or permit should not apply
