The Client

We are recruiting for a Project Surveyor (M&E) to be based on a large high profile project in York for our client. The company deliver sustainable infrastructures throughout the UK and are looking for an experienced candidate who has worked within the field of building services.

The Role and its Responsibilities

* Manage and develop the commercial team

* Ensure the workload is covered effectively

* Ensure compliance and processes are being followed

* Maximise cash flow through the control, measurement and valuation of work

* Utilise the commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures

* Invoice customers and organise payment of suppliers

* Produce/ compile accurate forecasts/ budget information and produce accurate reports to client

* Maintain and improve client relations

* Ensure contract commercial deliverable's and timescales are met

* Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks

* Responsible for ensuring works are valued

* Management of team

The Individual

As this is a major project, the client is looking for an experienced Project Surveyor who can join the commercial team and is able to fit into the role easily. You should be proactive and positive and have good negotiation, communication and management skills. You must have previous experience at working successfully on high value projects within the building services sector.

Skills and Qualifications

* Degree qualified

* Experience with industry software

Salary and Package

£50-55K plus company package and car / allowance. This project will also be a fantastic addition to a candidates CV and the company can offer excellent career prospects
