Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire our client is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy team on a permanent basis.

This job would suit an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk who has a strong track record in processing and issuing invoices in the accounts system. This role is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and loading of all invoices and credit notes onto the ledger, the allocation of all payments and the reconciliation of supplier statements to the ledger.

This company is reputable within their sector and has grown rapidly with exciting expansion plans throughout the next few years.

The successful individual will be self-motivated and have experience in Netsuit as well as data entry. The candidate should have effective communication and organisational skills with the ability to achieve targets whilst maintaining accuracy. This is suited for an individual with analytical and problem-solving skills as well as good level competence in Excel.

Job responsibilities:

Ensuring all Invoices/Credit Notes are appropriately approved in line with the approval matrix, within agreed deadlines and payment terms.
To accurately code post all Invoices/Credit Notes.
To ensure that all Payments are correctly allocated.
To ensure that all Purchase Ledger Accounts are reconciled with supplier statements/payments, chasing supplier's invoices and resolving any discrepancies.
To manage the historic Purchase Ledger - regularly investigating and clearing Debit Balances and other outstanding historic items.
Assist with Month end processes.
Process Expenses in line with the company's expense policy and to ensure employees expense reimbursements are made in time.This is a great role for an ambitious Purchase Ledger Clerk seeing their future in an exciting and growing business that can offer this opportunity.
