My client, a multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in property and infrastructure projects, are looking for a Rail Engineer to join their prosperous team. With 3700 staff members working across 50 offices the team is growing and thriving in size. This exciting role will involve:

Detailed design of railways,track,rolling stock, and all types of rail transport systems.
Preparing the full engineering data package required for commencement of detailed designs.
Assist and solve on-going clarifications/queries.
Managing engineering interfaces of allocated proposals across disciplines.
Undertaking the development of engineering options for proposal for railway and infrastructure projects ensuring safety, reliability, and ease of construction.
Ensure designs consider environmental issues.
Aided development of drawings, reports, and specifications using AutoCAD.
Training and support to work towards membership of a relevant institution.
You will be expected to have an awareness of health, safety, and welfare regulations and the importance of this in your team.Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline.
Experience working for UK based consultancy completing railway projects and detail designs of railways.
Desire to work to chartership.
Written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, compromising planners, designers, engineers, and technicians.
Able to manage your own time to meet project deadlines and budget targets.
Possess a sound understanding of the Construction Design Management (CDM) 2015 Regulations & Common Safety Method (CSM) 2013 Regulations, specifically the designer's requirements.
It is beneficial for applicants to reside close to the office or be prepared to relocate.
