Brand-new home-based Technical Sales Manager / Sales Engineer role, uncapped commission selling a well-respected brand within a niche sector. Freedom for you to grow a team / territory as we develop our business. We primarily cover the Midlands and Yorkshire selling into a wide range of industrial / manufacturing sectors. BASIC SALARY: Up to £40,000 dependant on your experience

BENEFITS:
Uncapped commission (5% of your total sales) 1st year OTE £10,000-£15000
Car Allowance of £450 per month

LOCATION: Home based - Midlands - Yorkshire

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Manager / Sales Engineer – industrial printers

You will be selling to various customers based across the UK. The largest concentrate of our existing and potential customers seems to be Midlands and Yorkshire though.

Existing turnover is split 75% domestic and 25% is exported through our European base. You will concentrate on developing new business for us within the UK only.

Your decision makers will include owner MDs of smaller businesses, Production Directors/Managers, Operations Directors/Managers and Technical Directors/Managers. We know who you’ll be targeting.

You might be selling an off the shelf hand-held printers worth £500 through to a full pallet marking system worth £25,000. Off the shelf products are available immediately (if in stock) and a bespoke engineered system could realistically be delivered within 6-8 weeks.

We have an established existing customer base, some of whom have already started to upgrade their machinery and all of whom continue to buy their ink and service contracts from us.

We supply to sawmills, timber product manufacturers, pallet, and crate manufacturers
There are plenty of pallet factories we are not working with and other manufacturers, who also use ISPM15 stamps (heat treatment for wooden packaging). You can also approach food, beverage, pharmaceutical and packaging companies directly as they'll all need to mark their products too.

We attend exhibitions, subscribe to trade publications, and regularly receive new queries from our digital and print marketing.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales Manager / Sales Engineer – industrial printers

·Identify new customers in current and potential markets
·Drive new business sales through networking, exhibitions, and cold calling
·Help develop sales and marketing material with the Marketing Manager
·Support the Sales Director with strategic input
·Provide technical / after sales support to your customers

YOUR BACKGROUND: Sales Manager / Sales Engineer – industrial printers

·You'll have experience of selling any technical products / industrial electronics / industrial systems into manufacturing / distribution / warehousing environments
·You'll need a technical / engineering background - either through your education or your experience. That will cover industrial electronic products and/or software.

If you have specific product experience of industrial printers, then that’s a bonus but not a prerequisite.

THE COMPANY:

We are an established manufacturer of industrial printers, coding and marking systems. These range from small hand held printers through to full bespoke systems. We largely supply our machinery and equipment in the UK and Europe to include ink and after sales service and technical support.
