Acorn Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Construction Project Manager on behalf of one the UK's leading private self-storage providers to be based out of their Newport office, however remote working is welcomed. nnThey're a well-established and expanding organisation with 12 trading stores currently within the group portfolio, together with 6 pipeline locations and further planned UK expansion in the coming years. nnnThe Role:nnThe successful applicant will oversee all projects and will build, manage and guide the projects team to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
Co-ordinating internal resources as well as third party suppliers and contractors for the flawless execution of projects, the position will be interesting, varied and challenging, with excellent future prospects. nnnRole & Leadership Responsibilities:n n Coordinate internal resources as well as third party suppliers and contractors for the flawless execution of projects n Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget n Developing project scopes, programmes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility n Ensure resource availability and allocation n Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and oversee all trades n Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs n Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques n Report and escalate to management as needed n Manage the relationship with all required parties n Perform risk management to minimise project risks n Establish and maintain relationships with all project parties n Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation n Provide leadership, clarity and direction to the projects team to ensure all project objectives are metnnnRequirements:n n Proven track record in construction, fit out and building project management n Experience of building, leading and management of construction projects teams n Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience n Ability to effectively communicate with all project parties n Excellent written and verbal communication skills n Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills n Strong working knowledge of appropriate software n Able to use standard Microsoft office packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint n A hands-on, can-do attitude with initiative to work well individually and in a teamnnnPreferred experience, but not essential: n n RICS qualified n Self-storage n Property & estates n RetailnnnHours:n n Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30 (30 minutes unpaid lunchbreak) n Remote working welcomednnnBenefits:n n Salary: Negotiable depending on experience n Annual leave entitlement: 28 days including bank holidaysnnAcorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
