Supply Chain Analyst

My client, a well established manufacturer, are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join their leading team.

Role and Responsibilities

* Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data

* Working with suppliers for the purchase of raw material

* Analyse data for forward planning of planning production

* Analyse data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements

* Placement of purchase orders

* Working with manufacturing plant with supply of raw materials.

* Providing details to customer services on lead time information

* Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects (e.g. warehouse-slotting, route planning)

* Develop requirements and standards (e.g. packaging, procurement, delivery)

* Oversee inventory procedures – stock counts

* Able to work with external partners such as warehouse and transport companies, as well as the ability to work internally across departments to obtain information and documents to complete transactions

* Discover the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules

* Evaluate vendor operations according to quality standards

* Help foster trusting relationships with business partners

* Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems

* Track KPIs and report on supply chain’s performance

* Analyse the details of our supply chain operations

* Research vendors

* Redesign a supply chain that increases our profit margins

Qualifications and Education Requirements

* Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst; particularly within analysis and reporting

* Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. Inventory planning, warehouse management)

* Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)

* Analytical mind with business acumen

* Problem-solving aptitude

* Attention to detail and excellent organisational ability

* Supply chain or inventory management experience

* Computer proficiency; including familiarity with CRM systems and practices

* Strong research and analytical skill

* Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters

* Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
