A forward-thinking company, industry leading manufacturer and designer of steel structural building components with over 35 years in the constructing manufacturing industry.

Job Role

As the Technical Manager, you will but not limited to:

Oversee and have overall technical responsibility for the Technical Department
Investigate and resolve short-term quality issues whilst implementing medium to long term quality improvement initiatives to positively impact Right First Time (RFT) measures.
Work with Technical Leads to improve team output through a combination of process optimisation, training, and automation.
Responsible for the identification and delivery of R&D innovation projects (incremental product improvements and new product implementation)
Deliver and facilitate structured training to improve knowledge of department.
The role will involve keeping up to date with changes in building regulations and to continue to develop existing and innovate new products to support our growing customer base and needs.Person

You will be an experience Technical/R&D Professional with:

Strong engineering knowledge within construction and/or steel fabrication sector
Experiencing in managing a technical design or R&D team
PC/IT literate
Business Appreciation / Market Awareness
Committed to achieving the identified objectives
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Customer Focused
Strong process mindset with evidence of identifying and implementing continuous improvement projectsWhat to do next...
