The CIPD Level 5 Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development is the most comprehensive course available for L&D professionals, ideal for you if you want to formalise your existing experience, skills and knowledge. You’ll study the core knowledge and behaviours any People Professional needs and extend these through specific units to further specialise in your field. This Diploma, as with all of CIPD’s updated qualifications, is based on the CIPD Profession Map, launched in November 2018. It defines the knowledge, behaviours and inherent values underpinning today’s people profession.

Your qualification is achieved by continuous assessment. At the end of each unit you will have an assessment to complete. Your assignment is graded by your tutor and you receive personalised feedback. There are different types of assessment tailored to the content of the unit.
This is a course for experienced HR professionals, so you will need previous formal qualifications to get started. An existing Foundation qualification (or equivalent) is essential; alternatively, relevant work experience can be considered. You must be over the age of 18 or have a third-party payee for any financial agreement. You must have a solid grasp of the English language (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent if English is not your first language). You must have access to a computer or other internet enabled device and a reliable internet connection, plus basic computer skills. To receive the Diploma qualification, you need to be registered with the CIPD.
The skills you’ll learn on this course will get you ready to take on senior L&D roles. You’ll also be eligible for Associate Membership of the CIPD. L&D Manager (£47,500* ), Head of L&D (£57,500* } Once you have your Level 5 Diploma qualification you can progress further with the CIPD Level 7 qualification.
