Norwegian Language Course A2 Part 1

You should know some basic Norwegian equal to the A1 level before you start on this course
You can take Norwegian Language Course A1 Part 1, 2 and 3 if you need the very basic introduction to the Norwegian language

Norwegian Language Course A2 Part 1 is the first of two courses covering the A2 level. When you have finished the A2 level you will be able to understand daily life Norwegian quite well
Here you have an overview of what´s covered at the A2 level. I can understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local area, employment)
I can catch the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements. I can read very short, simple texts
I can find specific, predictable information in simple everyday material such as advertisements, prospectuses, menus and timetables and I can understand short simple personal letters
I can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics and activities
I can handle very short social exchanges, even though I can't usually understand enough to keep the conversation going myself
I can use a series of phrases and sentences to describe in simple terms my family and other people, living conditions, my educational background and my present or most recent job
I can write short, simple notes and messages. I can write a very simple personal letter, for example thanking someone for something
You will learn and understand common words and utterances related to areas that are important to you personally. This is simple information that applies to yourself, your family, the local environment, shopping and working life
You will learn to perceive the main content of simple, short and clear messages and messages.
You will be able to read very short, simple texts
You can find concrete, predictable information in simple, everyday information such as advertisements, brochures, menus and timetables.
You can understand short, simple, personal letters
You will be able to participate in simple and routine conversations that involve simple and direct exchange of information about familiar topics and activities.
You will be able to use and understand common courtesy phrases, but may not understand enough to keep the conversation going
You will learn to write a variety of expressions and sentences to easily describe family and other people, living conditions, your educational background, and what you work or have worked with.
You will learn to write short, simple messages that apply to the most important areas of daily life
You will learn to write a very simple personal letter, such as a letter of thanks

Students with some basic knowledge of Norwegian equal to the A1 level
Students which for various reasons, would like to learn more Norwegian, to be able to communicate on a simple level in Norwegian
Students that would like to become Norwegian Citizens need to pass the A2 level written and oral tests
